A 5-Minute Method is less magic than self-direction. You rehearse a state until your actions naturally live there.

What it is#

Neville Goddard’s core idea: assume the feeling of the wish fulfilled, then act from that state, not toward it.

Why it matters#

Detachment helps. Wanting from lack keeps you in lack; choosing from the end keeps you in the state.

How to read it#

Resistance is normal. Naming ‘I don’t believe this yet’ and continuing is part of the work, not failure.

A simple practice#

Act as if, briefly:

1. Choose the state#

e.g. ‘I am someone this is already handled for.’

2. One acted choice#

Make one small decision from that identity today. That’s the rehearsal.

3. Note the shift#

You’ll feel the autopilot loosen. That’s the point.

FAQ#

How long does it take?

Depends on belief and alignment of action. Some feel a shift in days; big changes take longer.

Is it against any faith?

Many use it as psychology. If it conflicts with your beliefs, keep what fits.

Is this the same as positive thinking?

Close, but it emphasises occupying the end state, not repeating affirmations you don’t feel.
